Take the Pledge

Pledge to preserve and protect the night sky above your observing spot, home, business or corporation and end light pollution. Do what you can on a practical level to reduce light pollution within your own domain.

Join the Global StarPark Network

Register your public observing sites and be a part of the new Global StarPark Network!

Encourage the concept of every community opening a little StarPark for observing and registering them within the new Global StarPark network. Likely, many of these sites will double as baseball fields or tennis courts during the day. It's very important that existing public observing sites (large and small; good or bad Bortle ratings) register as quickly as possible to start the momentum. Presentation certificates and signage artwork available.

Spread the Word

Organize a pledge and registration drive at your star party or other event! Spread the word! Be part of the global synergy! We can't do it without you and can help with resources.

Take the Pledge

Pledge to preserve and protect the night sky above your observing site, home, business, school or town. Take a stand against the encroachment of the light. It's something you can do to reduce light pollution -- one place and one star at a time.

Taking the pledge is simple and fast.  Just tell us who you are, where you are, and how to contact you. We'll give you a checklist of simple things you can do to reduce light pollution on any property you manage, and you just check off what you have already done or will do.

That's it!
